Look! Two days in a row! Can you believe it? LOL:)
Today, the kids went back to school (finally!) and they were glad to be back:) It seems that they really missed their friends:) Lexie said her friend, Ashley, didn't play with her, though. She was too busy playing with her "boyfriend" according to Lexie. She was pretty put-out:(
I worked until 6 today, so I stopped on the way home for some dinner. Lexie wanted to stay at grandma's for dinner because grandma made bean soup. Apparently, Lexie was thinking it was green bean soup, so she was a little upset when she looked into her bowl:)LOL! Anyway, she ate her soup & said it was ok. Then she got in trouble because she ate a piece of pineapple & a cherry off the pineapple upside-down cake I made yesterday. Grrr!!
Lexie's godfather, Jake (Jason's cousin), gave Lexie some American girl books for Christmas. She loves them:) She is rapidly reading her way through them:) My MIL said that's all Lexie did all weekend - lay on the couch & read:) I'm excited because they are AR books that she can take tests on & get a higher percent:) They have to be at 50% the end of the marking period in order to go to the 50% AR party:) Brett didn't quite have 25% at the end of the first quarter, so he didn't get to go to the party, but he's made up for it this quarter - he's way over 50% already:) Good thing, too, since Mr. Aronson told him that's part of his homework:) He enjoys reading American Chillers & Michigan Chillers:) Anything a little creepy:) Hey, at least he's reading!!!
We all played Wii bowling last night:) Lexie was so happy - she bowled a 214!! My record is 202 & Brett's is 264:) Jason hasn't reached 200 yet:( It's pretty fun:) Brett told grandma Wanda that he needs some more Wii games & another controller:) I will have to get another one this week or whatever because it's hard to have only one with 4 of us:)
I think that's it for today:) I have to work 11-4 tomorrow & the kids are taking the bus home. They don't get home until 4:45 now because of their longer day:( That sucks!
Well, have a great day, everyone:)
