Brett & i r waiting in car while jay & lexie r in gander mtn:)
Finally on our way 2 mqt:)

A Sad post:( Goodbye, Danielle! You will be missed:*(

Hey, bloggers:)

I have a day off:) I am waiting for Jason to come home, so we can leave for Marquette:) He is at his brother, Kevin's, where they are splitting wood. H should be home in a 1/2 hour or so:)

Ok, so what's been happening this week? Well, Wednesday was our 9th wedding anniversary:) We brought the kids to Grandma Wanda's & went to dinner:) It was nice. We went to Hudson's where I had my fave crispy chicken salad:) Yummy! Jay had a burger & some onion rings. Then he wanted to go to Dunhams. Boy, was our mall dead! Anyway, we found out that they had decided to cancel Esky schools Thur & Fri, so long weekend for the kids:) I had to work, so they went to grandmas.

Monday, a friend of ours passed away:( Her name was Danielle Thompson. Her brother, Shawn, is probably Jason's absolute best friend. Shawn lives in La Crosse, WI with his girlfriend, Kim. Whenever he comes home, Jason & he go out:) Danielle was always there to keep an eye on the boys:) I never went out with them:( Mostly because I don't do well in bars. The smoke burns my eyes, gives me a headache, & makes my throat swell:( Anyway, she was only 35. She was a single mother of 2 teenage boys, Tyler & Seth who are 15 & 17. We are all very sad at her passing:( It's really hard when someone is so young & her boys are so young:(

Danielle's mom, Cheryl, asked Jason & I to "just be there for Shawn". I told her "No problem!". We love Shawn very much! He's a great guy & I am very sad that he lost his sister who was his best friend. I'm sure Jason will be doing lots of things with Shawn in the months to come. & Ryan, too:) He's one of our other wonderful friends:)

Ok, enough of the sad:( Oh, I have to run to Claire's, where Danielle worked for the past 5-6 years to get Lexie some glasses. When we were in there a few weeks ago, Danielle was working & Lexie was trying on everything in sight (as usual!) & she tried on these glasses & Danielle & I looked at each other - they looked so cute on her:) That's my last memory of Danielle, so I HAVE to go get these glasses for Lexie! Sure dry-eyed at the funeral (had to stay strong for my man), but tearin' up now:*(

Ok - sorry it's such a sad post, but it's what's goin' on now. Anyway, I have to get the kids ready to go. Brett's buggin' me to carve pumpkins, so we'll do that today or tomorrow depending on our time frame:) Have a great day everyone:) If I have time I will post some pics from today:)

Pic that is on Xmas cards:)

I know, I know...I have been totally slackin' on my bloggin':(

Ok - sorry, all! It's been crazy busy lately! I just don't know where all the time is going:( It's almost Halloween, for God's sake! At least I have sorta started my shopping because I think it's gonna be a little less if you know what I mean. Oh, well, the kids are pretty good:) Actually, I had them make out their Christmas lists for me & they are pretty simple:) Lexie has 1)Polly Pockets 2) Littlest Pet Shop 3) CD Player 4) DS Games 5) I-POD. Brett has his in categories:) LOL! He is so funny! Anyway, under Legos: Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Agents - under Action Figures: Star Wars, Transformers, and something else I can't think of right now:( & there is clothes on his list! Isn't that awesome? I remember having tons of things on my list & not getting any of them!:) It was still good:)

Ok, last week was homecoming for the Eskymos. We played the Rhinelander Hodags & whooped them! It was like 63-21 or so:) Brett decided not to come to the game with us, so he stayed at Grandma Wanda's. We ended up leaving at half-time again. Lexie had a problem which I will tell you about in a sec:), so we went & picked Brett up & went to our friends, Charlie & Theresa's:) We hadn't been there in a while - everyone is just so busy these days:(

Alright, Lexie's problem Friday night... Well, Lexie took the bus home to grandma's. (Brett got picked up by daddy - not feeling well) We were getting ready to go to the game - we were just gonna pick Lexie up on our way. She was out by the chickens when the rooster went after her! It was clawing & pecking at her legs & she kicked it away, but she was so scared that she had tripped & twisted her ankle. She was hobbling all night & climbing on her hands & knees up the stands at the football game - it was kinda funny;) Anyway, when we got back to grandma's, I took a look at it & her ankle was really swollen & purple:( Poor thing! I felt so bad for laughing at her, but she's so dramatic all the time that I blow it off because I know how she is. Anyway, I took her to the walk-in clinic on Saturday morning because she obviously couldn't go to basketball & after 3 hours, we were told it was a bad sprain. They didn't do anything for her:(

So I met Shannah at Walmart because we were heading to Clintonville to see my sister, Casey. I got some tylenol for Lexie & some wrapping bandages. Then, we got gas & some lunch & were on our way (only 2 hours later that I had planned!) Well, by Sunday, her foot was much better:) It's still a little purple, but she's not limping anymore:)

Sunday was my first day of teaching Sunday school:) It was pretty fun. There were only 4 kids in there, though. It was Brett, Lexie, & 2 other girls ages 6 & 13. We had fun:) When we got home, Jason & the kids got ready & went to camp while I had to go to work:*( to close! Anyway, it was slow so I got the schedule done:)

We went to Wanda's as usual on Monday night. Tuesday, Lexie & I went to the JV & Varsity girl's volleyball game against the Kingsford Flivvers - which we lost both:( Then Lexie & I ran to Shopko to refill Brett's inhalers ($60!)Then we went to the Dollar Tree to get calculators & staplers for work, dropped them off at BK, the to SuperOne to get milk & stuff. Then we went to Grandma's to pick up Brett. It was pretty late & he was tired:( I made them some tuna sandwiches for their lunch & Nisa decided that she wanted some, too! She went nuts trying to jump from the floor to the countertop:) She's much too little to make it:) I'll have to post some new pics - she is sooooo cute:)

We are happy to say we survived Bell's first heat cycle! OMG! Jason was about ready to go find her a boyfriend:) She was driving us nuts:) LOL! Anyway, she's back to herself now & we are at peace until the next one rolls around:( We will have to get her fixed soon!

Ok, I think you are all caught up:)

Oh, one more thing - SAD! One of Jason's best friends, Shawn, just lost his sister on Monday:( She was only 35. She was a single mother of 2 teenage boys. She dropped on Sunday & was rushed to the hospital - had CT scan, then rushed to MQT General where she was put on life support, but no brain activity:( We are very sad & we'll miss her very much. She was such a nice person & we are deeply sad for Shawn's family:( Danielle will be missed:( She had a brain annuerism ( idk how to spell it). Shannah, can you let mom know. I know she really liked Shawn:(

On that very sad note, I will say ttyl!

I will post cute pic of kids:)

Sickness, Craziness, & Treasures;)

Hey, all:)

It sure was nice getting those three days off in a row last week, but I'm very tired after opening the last 4 days with one more tomorrow:( Besides, I don't count Wednesday as a day off since I had to chaperone Brett's field trip. Oh, well, we had fun other than the puking kid:) Speaking of which, Brett got sick at school on Friday & Wanda had to go pick him up as I was in the tub & didn't hear the phone ring. Poor little guy!

There was no tailgating this past Friday night as the Eskymos played in Menominee & just barely lost:( Next Friday is Little Cheer night, so I will have to take lots of pics of Lexie cheering:)

Yesterday, I was supposed to work 5:30-2, but Tina asked me to stay til 3, so I did. Then I ran to Shopko for a few things. When I got home, Jay & the kids weren't here, so I decided to take a walk down the trail:) Probably kinda dangerous after the last time especially alone:) LOL! Anyway, I put my shoes on - not an appropriate walking pair I soon discovered as my feet were killing me by the time I got home & I could feel every rock on the trail:( There was a hayride taking place on the trail which was kinda cool:) I took my camera with me & got lots of pretty scenic pics:) I will have to find something cool to do with them in my scrapbook if I ever get one done:)The leaves are changing colors & it's beautiful:) It sprinkled on me for a little bit, but the trees hang over the trail, so I didn't get very wet - just a couple drops. Jason was home when I got back - by himself! I asked where the kids were & he said they were at his mom's - where they'd been all day! He never called or left a note or message, so I assumed they were with him:( GRRRR! I hate when he does that! Anyway, he did it again today:( No note or anything! Enough of that:(

Friday night Brett wanted to stay at Grandma Wanda's, but I told him no since he threw up at school - didn't think it was the best idea:( He wanted to watch the season premiere of the star wars cartoon. Saturday & Sunday, Lexie helped Grandma clean the upstairs - you should see all the "treasures" she found & brought home:( You know what they say... one man's junk - like she needs anymore crap:( Oh, well. Seriously, she brought home this old humungous wooden fork & spoon that used to hang on grandma's kitchen wall. I told her she was NOT hanging them up in her room. She told me daddy was hanging them up in her playhouse. That was OK:) (sigh of relief!LOL)

Patti from our church told the kids the other day that today was pet day at church, so they both insisted on bringing their cats (which do NOT like riding in the car). Anyway, apparently Lexie misunderstood Patti because you weren't supposed to bring your pets to the service! You were supposed to bring them to something at 4 p.m. I think to get them blessed or something, so the poor cats had to stay in the car during church:( Crazy!

We've had a crazy week at work:( One of the managers had heart surgery last week- 8 stints were put in:( He's had a heart attack before:( He just turned 40 on October first! Poor guy:( Anyway, that's messed up our schedule this week. We do have 2 people training this week & 2 more training next week, then she plans to hire at least one more next week. I'm pushing for my SIL's sister, Mika;) She's awesome:)

Alright, well, it's after 8 already & I gotta make sure the kid's things are all ready for school tomorrow & get them ready for bed:) Goodnight:)

Fallin' behind:(

Hey - I've been quite remiss in keeping my blog up daily:( I am going to work on it, though:)

On Sunday, I got up & showered, getting ready for church finally - I haven't been able to attend since Lexie's birthday on July 26th! Anyway, I was supposed to work 11-5, but Mike wasn't feeling well, so I ended up with the 4-close shift which was alright as I was off Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday:) Anyway, Lexie was complaining about her stomach, so I told her to just lay down for a little longer & see how she felt. The next thing I knew, she was on her knees in front of the toilet:( Daddy told her to get a bowl instead as it's a little gross to throw up in the toilet. For the next ten minutes os so, she walked around carrying the bowl, then she finally threw up:( So there went church:( It must have just been a 24-hour bug as she was feeling great by bedtime & ready to go to school in the morning:)

On Monday, I went to town to pick the kids up at school & then we did some grocery shopping:) We really needed it:)Then we went home & had dinner, then we went to Wanda's like every Monday night.

On Tuesday, I spent most of the day burning dvds of home videos - some of them from 2005! Yeah, it was time:) Anyway, the kids weren't apparently listening when I told them to ride the bus home, so Jason had to go pick them up at work:(

Yesterday, I got a call @7a.m. from my friend, Chrysta, that Tegan, their daughter, was sick all night, so her & her husband, Phil, weren't going to be able to go with the kids on their field trip to the Marquette Iron Mine Museum, so I got up & went:) It was pretty fun, but I was very tired, having had stayed up til 1 a.m. or so since I didn't have to wake up at any certain time:( We had one kid throw up right before we got to the museum and another wasn't feeling well. The bus driver was none to pleased! Especially since he didn't have the garbage can:(

Then, last night, I had to finish the schedule, so I was up til 11:( then I had to open this morning, but I only had to work til noon:)Then, I had to run to Walmart to pick up a couple things & ran into my friend, Farrah, so I was there quite a bit longer than I had anticipated, but it was nice to see her again:) I took a nap, then Brett got home at 4:42! Yeah, buses ran late because of a bomb threat at the high school:( Lexie had to be picked up since she didn't get on the bus:(

So now, we are all feed (tacos tonight) and I gotta get the kids ready for tomorrow:) Have a great night:)
