What a day!!!!!!!

OMG! Is the day over yet?

It all started this morning with Jason's alarm going off at 7 a.m. He hit the snooze button 3 times! Meanwhile, my alarm FOR WORK is set for 7:45 a.m. since I work at 9. Do you think I could get back to sleep after the second time he hit the snooze? Of course not:( Then, after he & the kids left for the Youth Day thing at the club, the phone rang. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except I had to stay online all night to download this stupid software for my handycam - it was going to take more than 30 HOURS!!!! Yeah, sweet, right? Gotta love dial-up! Anyway, the phone ringing meant I wasn't online anymore & my software didn't download. 0 for 2:( Then, just before I leave, I go to get my toaster strudel to eat on the way to work and I don't have any:( The kids ate the last of my toaster strudel which they hadn't touched either box before:( So I had nothing to grab for breakfast on my way to work - 0 for 3:(

Let me just say, I was in no mood to go to work. I told Tina & Lisa about my crappy morning - they understood. Tina ran to the bank & she came back with... you guessed it - Strawberry creamcheese toaster strudel:) That was awesome:) She popped it into the oven - it was delicious! That made things a little better:) Then Tina was leaving at 11 since she had to stay the night before because Mike wasn't coming into work. Hope was finishing the rest of Tina's shift. Well, Ashley was supposed to be in for 11 & apparently decided to quit today, so we were short:( Nice:)Anyway, everything worked out ok. I covered her shift for tomorrow & the whole next week:) Sweet!

Just a day in the life of a BK shift manager:) Not the best day, unfortunately:) but a day nonetheless:)

The kids were excited - they both won some prizes - lunchbox & gun cleaning kit & compass. Lexie had to show me the bullets she shot:) Also, Jason won a $50 certificate for Pomps:)

Good news! I found the software for my handycam:) & tonight I am going to a friend's house:) for some adult beverages & conversation:)

Talk to y'all later:)

Just catching up:)

Hey, all:) It's been quite a while:( I don't really remember where I left off, but I don't think I told you about the Eskymo game last Friday night. We played Marquette & killed them 73-0! Can you believe that?!? It wasn't even fun to watch! It was sad! Anyway, Saturday, I had to bring Lexie to the church for 12:30. I got her all ready & we did some pics. My job was to videotape, but Sallie forgot to get me some tapes for my camera, so I had to run to Walmart. The wedding lasted less than 40 minutes, which was nice:) I'm not sure yet how good a job I did on the taping yet as I can't find my software to burn it to disk:( Hopefully I will get that done tomorrow & I can give it to Tyler & Ashley who are going to see Jeff & Rachel this weekend:)

They rented a renovated school bus that says Perronville Penitentiary. It was pretty funny. Anyway, Rachel asked if Lexie wanted to ride on the bus with them, which of course, she did:) Hunter & Quinton rode also, so she wasn't the only kid:) They went down to the park & took more pics. They stopped at White's on the way to the Bark River Senior Center for the reception & Hunter bought Lexie a treat & someone got her a bottle of water. Anyway, she had a blast:)

The reception was very nice:) The cake was beautiful & the food was good:) I will post pics later or tomorrow:) Lexie was on the dance floor the whole night:) Her feet were pretty sore:) Taylor & Brett were pretty busy dancing as well especially after it got dark & they couldn't play at the park anymore:) Oh, did I mention that I was the cake cutter? My first time! I think I did pretty well:) It was a very nice wedding & we had lots of fun:) We stayed until the end & helped clean up because we are naturally such nice people:)

Sunday we relaxed. It was definitely a day of rest. I don't think I left the house:)

Monday the kids were back to school & Jason & I were back to work. Brett only lasted until 2:30 before calling daddy to come pick him up:) He wasn't feeling very well all weekend - lots of coughing:( I kept him home on Tuesday with Grandma Wanda & he seemed to be feeling a little better, but he did have a fever early on:( I thought he should have stayed home on Wednesday, too, but Jason thought he should go to school. He lasted until about 11:30 & called Grandma Wanda to come pick him up:( He made it all day today & is feeling much better, but he is still coughing a little.

So Tina was gone to Canada last week. She flew home on Monday & she was off on Tuesday. Anyway, she didn't do the manager's schedule:( She told me Wednesday that she would do it that night and email it to me by 5. Well, I finally got it at 7:40 & couldn't open it as she sent it using Excel which I don't have, so I had to call her anyway. It was almost 10 p.m. before I got it done:( And then I had to open this morning:( That sucked!

I got a letter yesterday from Laura, a lady at church, with the schedule for the Sunday school & nursery for the rest of the year. Well, she just scheduled it without discussing it with Karie or I:( I sent it to Tina, so she could schedule us accordingly. Well, she was pretty mad about it:( She was b****ing about it to Karie on the phone today. OMG! Laura didn't even schedule us for the same Sundays! I just don't get her! I work all these stupid shifts that she schedules me which don't make any sense half the time & all I want is a couple frickin' Sundays off to go to church! Seriously, Laura only scheduled me 2 Sundays from now until the end of the year! & Karie is scheduled 4 days in the nursery until the end of the year! What the heck? I don't see a problem with it! I'm kinda mad because I haven't had a Sunday to go to church since Lexie's birthday on July 26th! Isn't that ridiculous? I think so! This coming Sunday, she scheduled Karie to open & me for 11 am! So she ruined church for both of us! Inconsiderate, I think!

Especially since every week I do the schedule at home on my own time without getting paid for it & the newsletter every month without getting paid for it. I even pay for the paper most of the time plus my notebook & folder I bought for this purpose! And I'm getting crap for Sunday! Oh, I am so mad! Anyone know of a good job for me that will let me go to church on Sunday?

Lexie's first week of basketball camp was Saturday, but we missed it because of the wedding:( Otherwise the kids are doing very well. I will go on PowerSchool tomorrow to see if any grades have been posted yet:) Lexie's got Meap testing next month, so we have a few things to work on. Mrs. Pinar gives them practice questions everyday to work on & I can see where she needs a little help! It's when you give her a number like 6,578. She needs to pick which words make that number - it's multiple choice. She needs to pick the one that looks like: Six thousand five hundred and seventy-eight. She gets these mixed up, so I made a practice sheet for her, too:)

Oh, the kids got their reading level test results. Alexia reads at a level equal to that of a 3rd grader in the 8th month of the school year (I really thought it would be higher, but...) and Brett reads at a level equal to that of a 6th grader in the 4th month of the school year! Wow! If you don't already know, Lexie is in 3rd grade & Brett is in 4th! Pretty good, hey?

Anyway, I think that's it for now:) I'm gonna go FB for a few & then to bed. I think I will post pics tomorrow:) Have a great night:)I am off tomorrow - Yipee!

A Quickie;)

Hey - just a quickie post:)

We went to rehearsal last night which Lexie found boring:( Anyway, Brett stayed at the game with our friends. We went back to the game around 8 when the score was 43-0. The Eskymos killed the Redmen (Marquette) 73-0! It wasn't even a game:( Pretty sad:( Ok, so now we are getting ready for the wedding which is at 2. We need to be at the church around 12:30. Reception is at the Bark River Senior Center (that's where mine was almost 9 years ago!) @5. so I'm not sure if we will be home at all between the two (I hope so). Dinner's not until 6, so I'm sure we will be hungry & maybe tired.

Adios until later:)

Have a great day, everyone!

Stupid dog!

Kyra is making me mad! She keeps letting Nisa nurse on her! For those of you who don't know what's going on - Kyra is our 5-year old Minn Pinn. Nisa is our 5 1/2 week old kitten. This is driving me nuts! We are trying to get her to eat kitten food instead of that kitten formula & Kyra just keeps letting her nurse. By the way, Kyra has never had pups, so Nisa's not getting anything, but that's not the point! I swear she thinks she's Nisa's mother. She won't let Bells or Kaylie anywhere near Nisa. Poor Bells keeps getting attacked since she's naturally curious about this new addition to our family. Kyra doesn't hurt her - I think she's just trying to warn her away. I think Kyra thinks Bells will hurt Nisa. Kaylie picked Nisa up in her mouth & scared the crap out of me. She dropped her quickly, but we just don't know Kaylie well enough yet to know whether she would hurt her or not. I like to think that she won't, but I'm not taking any chances.

Well, enough of my pet problems:) I do love them all:) We went to the kids' open house at school. I met Mr. Aronson & Mrs. Pinar. They both seem very nice & the kids are very happy with them so far:) Brett got a quarter today for something (I just can't remember why). He is excited - he had library today, so he checked out on of the Michigan Chillers books that he really likes:) That's what he's doing right now:)

I am trying to get everything ready for our tailgating tonight for the Eskymo game at 7:30. We are having brats & I am cutting up some cantaloupe & honeydew:) This is the first home game of the season, so I can't wait! Plus, I'm looking very forward to seeing our friends again:) It's been too long!

Anyway, I'm gonna get going. I have to cut up melon:)

Nighty-night:)

Just a couple pics... more later - gotta go:)

Happy Wednesday, everyone=)

I have a day off:) I just spent the last hour or so on FB talkin' to my friends:) Sorry about not bloggin' last night. Jason went with Kevin for firewood last night, so the kids and I stayed home & watched X-men Origins: Wolverine. Jason & I went to the movies to watch it, but the kids hadn't seen it yet. Brett really enjoyed it, but I knew he would:) When it was done, it was bedtime & BB was coming on - the season finale! Jordan won! Hooray! I would've been so mad if Natalie won. I didn't like her!

Anyway, Nisa was horrible last night! She cried & cried & cried! I couldn't leave her in Brett's room because I was afraid he would wake up & he had to go to school today. She just wouldn't go to sleep! Now, she's sleeping & I haven't heard from her for about 4 hours. I checked on her, though:) I don't remember ever having a kitten that cried soooo much! She must really miss her mommy. Hopefully, tonight will be better! Can't be much worse!

Anyway, I'm gonna post a pic or two from yesterday. I'll blog at ya later!

Only 1 deer on my way 2 work!

Our new addition:)

Hi, everyone:)

It was a pretty great day:) Work was Ok. Jen came for our store review. Tina was in a very good mood. I think she's excited to go to Canada. I know I would be too, even though she has to work while she's there. Oh, well. A trip's a trip, right?

Anyway, yesterday Hope text me to let me know that my kitty was ready to go. My kitty?, you ask. Yes, I've been keeping it a secret for several weeks now that I was looking for a kitty for Brett. He was pretty sad that the rest of us each had a pet & he didn't. Well, he's got one now:) Her name is Nisa. Where did this name come from? Well, I told him that she looked like an Ewok. Nisa is the name of one of the Ewoks:) We really like it:) Bells, however, does not like our new baby so far. She hissed at her & ran away. But Bells was a little crabby before that since she fell out of the entryway window today:( AGAIN! Stupid cat! She leaned on it too hard & it popped out. She was pretty scared. She was hiding in the shed when Lexie found her. Meanwhile, my house is full of flies:( GRRRR!

Kyra & Kaylie really like Nisa. Kaylie almost tried to climb over the gate to come & see her:) Funny:)

The pics of her aren't real good - she was falling asleep, so her eyes look kinda small. The others are of her sleeping in her temporary bed. It's Brett's chair with a pillow on it:) We covered her up:) She's so sweet:)

Ok, well, it's late & I gotta open in the a.m., so I gotta say good night:) I'll talk to you later:)

Meet Nisa:) She is Brett's new baby:)

The light one is Nisa. The black one is her sister, Maxie, who lives with Auntie Sallie:)

Just another day...

Hey, all!
Just another glorious Sunday that I had to work:( 6:30 a.m. until 4:15 p.m. It was pretty steady today. I didn't have a lot of time to get things done:( It died off around 2, so I went down to just Janine, Kasey, Jon, & I. That's one more thing about football - you get busy before & after the games, but dead while they are on:( Jason's been watching football since I got home & it's not even the packers! I made my favorite cola chicken for dinner tonight. I think I will probably have it once a week since we all like it so much:) I made it with tortellini. The kids really like tortellini, but I really didn't care for it with spaghetti sauce. I usually just butter it & melt some parmesan cheese over it. That's really good:) They also like the cheese filled small ravioli, too. We had that the other night & boy, was that good! I will have to stock up when it's on sale:)

The kids are all bathed and lunches are all packed:) Lexie has her basketball camp sign-up & her Little Cheer sign-up all ready to go:) As well as her first book order of the year:) I'm glad my kids like to read so much:) It sure makes it easier on them in school:) Especially now that the school is pushing the AR program so much. This is Accelerated Reader. They read approved AR books and have to take a test on them on the computer either during library or in class when their other work is done. Lexie really works hard on this. Brett has found that most of the books he likes to read are not AR approved books - although, all of the Captain Underpants books are:) And the Diary of a Wimpy Kid set:) He really enjoys those:) I have to search & see what qualifies as AR books, so I can find ones that will interest him. He also likes the Michigan Thrillers set they have at the school library.

Jason has been a therapist lately. I swear, if one of his friends has a problem, they call Jay. It's pretty nice that they talk to him about relationship advice because I assume that means he is in a good relationship, right? I sure hope so. We seem to do pretty well:) I still love the pain in my rear:) Granted, he does irritate me quite often, but some things that irritate me are some of the things I love the most about him, you know? Like the therapy thing or helping everyone who needs help. He gives so much of himself to others that sometimes there's not enough left for me & I get overlooked. You can see how this could be a problem, right?

I've tried to tell him how I feel, but he never changes - not that I necessarily want him to, but it would be nice to be the center of his world once in awhile:)

Oh, I almost forgot to tell you something funny! Lexie said she had to practice her dancing for the wedding so she didn't look funny! You should see the way she dances - it is funny! She was dancing to Fergilicious. Jason & I got a good laugh:) Brett was also:) He is pretty funny, too! I'm gonna have to videotape it:)

Alright, well, I gotta go get the kids ready for bed:)

Have a great day:)

This is Brett;)

I have an awesome teacher! His name is Mr. Aronson. He pays you one dollar if your desk is clean - I think it's once a week. You never know when he's gonna check:) But, no problem - I barely get any homework:) We've talked about 9-1-1 and how all the people got hurt:( I don't remember it since I was only 2.

That's all I have to say - I don't have anything interesting on my mind!

Brett

This is Lexie;)

Today, Taylor came over. Brett & Taylor played with their Star Wars people, yet again. I went to grandma & grandpa's house. Toby was happy to see me:) When we got home, I played outside. I put my notebooks in a drawer. I took a bath & got my lunch ready for school tomorrow. I have my clothes already picked out. Mommy gave me a mani & pedi in Cotton Candy pink. Daddy was playing with Bells & her new toy. She was doing some flips & being a football player. She got 5 touchdowns. LOL! That's mostly what I did today. I played with my Polly Pockets. Mommy signed me up for basketball camp which is 6 Saturdays. They teach us drills & stuff. I went the year before last & I had fun:) Mommy also signed me up for Little Cheer night. That's in October. The cheerleaders teach us some cheers & we cheer during the whole first half of the game:) I get a new t-shirt from basketball camp & little cheer:)

That's all I have to say:)

Peace-out!

Love, Lexie XOXOXOXO

So Cute!

Hey! It's working! These are some old pics of my babies!

Just Bloggin'

Hey, guys:)

Well, yesterday, we didn't do too much. I was off & Jason took the day off. He went to the fair grounds with his dad & brothers for the logging congress. He said if only he had $1 million, he could get all the equipment he & Kevin would need to start their own logging business! I said, "Sure, honey, let me write you out a check." He said the bank would laugh at him:) I wish he could start his own business of some sort. We just don't know what's gonna happen at Nothern Motors with the contract:( I don't think the guys are gonna get what they want:(

The kids finished their first week of school:) They love school:) Brett loves having NO HOMEWORK! That's all it takes for him to be happy:) Lexie brought home her first book order which I went thru this afternoon & ordered some books for the kids. Also, she brought home sign-up sheets for Eskymo Little Cheer Night & Eskymo Jr Basketball camp. I signed her up for both of these as she enjoys them so much & I couldn't afford to send her to either of them last year:( They have school pics in October along with their big fall fundraiser & their fall festival. Lots of things coming up fast! Lexie also brought home some kind of excercising log. She's supposed to keep track of how much exercise she gets like walking, playing basketball, etc.

Lexie also brought home a little paper bag called a "ME" bag. She could put 5 things in it that help describe her. Her first 2 contributions were her autographed pic of Dan Beauchamp (Off-Road Racer) & Keesha's old collar (our dog that died in June). Yes, she still has Keesha's collar. I don't believe she sleeps with it anymore...
I told her she should put in a necklace that she beaded herself since she likes to do that. Also, a book. She picked Tale of Despereaux because "it's very special to me, mom." This is the book she got for Christmas from her godfather, Jake. Then I got her soccer button with the pic of her & Brett on it since she plays soccer. This year was her 3rd year:) 4th for Brett:) It's so nice that they enjoy the sport. I do, as well. It's fun to watch them. They get better & better all the time. I just wish they could play longer. I will be looking into the travelling soccer league for them next summer, but it's a little expensive - it was like $120 this year. So, we will see...

Brett got in trouble the other morning for trying to smuggle his Star Wars toys to school. They are not allowed to bring toys to school. Of course, they are both aware of the rules. Daddy took away his DS for a week.

Jason left a little while ago to haul some dirt home from Kevin's. He said it was for the shed?!? Oh, well. Brett was pretty excited & asked if he could go, too. So he was able to go. Lexie wanted to go, too, but Kylee wasn't going to be there & the 3 kids don't play too well together. Can't imagine why!?! So Lexie was content to stay home with me. She helped me make some chocolate covered pretzels:) She asked if we could have a girl's day out, but I don't have any money:( And there aren't any good movies at the theater for her & I to go see:(

We went to town last night. We were going to exchange a pair of Lexie's shoes for the next size up, but they didn't have these in a 6:( and we didn't see anything else we liked in the same price range. Can you believe she wears a women's size 5 1/2 or 6 depending on the style? Wow, my little girl is growing sooooo fast! I'm pretty sure I was quite a bit older before I could wear my mom's shoes. She wears 6 or 6 1/2 I think!

Then we went to Walmart to get a covered litter box for Bells since she scratched some of the paper off of the drywall in Lexie's room:( Also, she fell out of the entryway window yesterday afternoon. She must have pushed against the screen - dumb cat! Anyway, I finally found her hiding under my car. I told Lexie about her cat falling out the window, so she had to run in & check Bells for any wounds:) Funny!

I'm hoping to start teaching Sunday school soon:) I won't be in church next weekend, I don't think, as we have Jeff & Rachel's wedding:) I don't have my schedule past that, but when I do, I need to call Laura & let her know so she can make out the schedule for sunday school. Tina's gone to Canada next week, so I'm hoping that she brought the schedule in today, so I will have it tomorrow:)

I think that's all for now. I am going to try to see if I can post a pic, so if it doesn't show up, it was a failure! Wish me luck!

Blog at you soon:)

Finishing up Lexie's dress=)

Here I am @ my MIL's house again to balance my checkbook online & do my transfers to loans. And to do a little blogging, of course;) I sure do miss Shannah! I hope Jeremiah's wedding goes great - he's a great guy!

I'm hoping Tina will have a couple week's worth of schedules done for me so I can plan a trip to see my sister, Casey. We haven't seen each other since they came thru the drive-thru on their way home after camping:(

Well, the kids are doing pretty well, Lexie is trying on her dress right now & they are finishing it up tonight, I guess:) She's pretty cute, if I do say so myself:) I guess I'm kinda excited for the wedding next weekend:)

Lexie's telling Grandmas Wanda & Mary and Aunties Joyce & Sallie that she's gonna have to practice her dancing for the wedding. She told them she likes hip-hop! What a goon!

I wasn't very happy with the kids today:( I told them that since we were going to Grandma's tonight, they needed to get their rooms cleaned right after they got home. Naturally, when we went to leave, their rooms were disasters:( I really wish they would keep them clean! Grr!

At Northern Motors, they extended their contract until October 1st. The owners are really pushing for flat-rate & the guys are fighting it quite a bit. I really don't know - like Jason said, as long as they are busy, flat rate is great, but if they're not, then no paycheck which sucks to try to make loan payments:( Oh, well, no sense worrying about it now, right? I just got to keep plugging away at everything. It might be a tight Christmas:( Well, at least we have jobs, right? Not everyone does these days.

At BK, Tina is leaving for Canada soon. This is nice & sucky at the same time. It leaves Karie in charge & that's not good:( I will actually miss Tina. I asked her if she had room in her suitcase for me:) LOL! This week's schedule is posted, so another week down:) This one was hard with Tina gone & all the kids in college or high school during the day. Well, I made it.

I guess that's it for now. I will have to keep a journal so I can keep track of everything for the bloggin'! :)

Have a great day, all:) I have the next 2 days off:) Yipee!

First day back to school!

Hey, there! I am at my mother-in-laws so I can blog real quick:) Stupid computer!

Anyway, the kid's first day of school went well. Lexie said Mrs. Pinar was very nice & she never yelled at all. LOL! I thought that was funny:) Brett is excited because Mr. Arnson gives them money for various things they do like good grades & keeping their desks clean:) He thinks he's gonna be rich by the end of the year! Anyway, they are very excited:) Lexie said the only bad thing that happened today was her feet got too hot at recess & they were sweaty! Well, if that's the worst that happened today, that's a good day:)

I had some excitement this weekend at work. Friday night when Karie closed, she didn't make sure all of the batteries were plugged in & charged for the headsets in the morning. Well, at 9:15, we had no charged batteries for our headsets & had to have everyone pull up to the window to make their orders:( Crappy drive-time! Well, we were up & running by 11:00. Then, Sunday, we had these 2 90-some year old people stranded at BK with a dead battery. Well, Jim & I helped them out, but, once again, our drive times were sucky since both Jim & I were outside helping these poor people out:(

That sums up the past few days at our house. The kids were at camp with Jason most of the weekend. We did enjoy a leisurely time at home on Labor Day:) We all had dinner together at La Branche Tavern on Saturday night:) Ok, I think that's all for now:) Talk to you soon!
On my way 2 work:( til 4. 1ST day of school!

OMG! Can't even get online! Stupid computer!

Lazy day! Cleaned livingroom & talked 2 friends on FB. Ttyl!

New teachers posted:)

Good morning, or afternoon, rather:) Jason just called to let me know who the kids' teachers are:) Brett has Mr. Arnson, whom he wanted:) Hooray! He doesn't believe in homework, so Brett is thrilled. Also, Aiden, McKenzie, & Tegan are in his class:) Aiden, if you'll recall, is one of his best friends:) Lexie, on the other hand, has Mrs. Pinar. She is not at all happy:( I think she would have preferred either Mrs. Gannon or Mr. Buckbee (whom she really wanted). The kids say Mrs. Pinar yells alot:( Lexie doesn't like that. Poor baby. Well, I told her that maybe Mrs. Pinar wouldn't yell at them. We can always hope, right? Brett sure wouldn't have dealt well with that - he does not like to be yelled at - he cries:( He's got a gentle heart:) Don't get me wrong, he gets mad & he does things he's not supposed to, but he really hates to disappoint anyone. Well, I'm sure Lexie will hold her own. She's a pretty strong little girl:) However, lately, she's been calling herself fat, which doesn't make me happy:( I keep telling her that she's not, but you know how girls are. I just hope we can nip this in the bud before we have a serious problem - she's only 8. Jeez!

Anyway, I'm hoping for a great year:) The last couple haven't been great:( This one will be. The kids are a little nervous about the new principal & I'm a little nervous about the new PTO president. I sure will miss Tara:( Well, I will still see her, she just won't be the pres anymore. I just need a flexible job that I can be as involved in the school as I want to be:)

Well, ttyl! I have to go make sure Brett finds his inhalor as he's having a hard time breathing right now:( He's got this stupid cold & he's full of mucus. I may end up having to bring him in. It's so much harder on him than Lexie with his asthma:( Asthma sucks!

Thursday, September 3, 2009

A Decent day;)

Hi! Pretty decent day today! I got the schedule done last night, so I got to enter it into Word @ work - then print off full schedule & individual schedule for everyone. Then, I had to enter it into the BK system which is MenuLink. I also had to make the daily schedule & positioning chart for every day of the week. I got it all done:) Hooray! Sometimes, it takes me a couple of days to have everything all done:( Anyway, even my newsletter is done - would have had it done yesterday, but I forgot my drive time info for August. Well, it's done now & that's all that counts:)

Well, last night, my MIL (mother-in-law) told me that they were wondering at church if I would be interested in teaching Sunday school with Jason's Aunt Sallie. Heck, yeah! The only problem is that Tina will not like it:( I want Sunday mornings off & I know she won't give them to me. This makes me very sad:( It sucks when work interferes with life, you know?

Kinda like my schedule for the kid's first day of school? I work 10-4, so I can't even pick them up at school, which she knows I love to do:( Sucks! But I know that she just doesn't care:( If it's not about her, it doesn't matter. She does the manager schedule & I do the crew schedule, so I have to wait for her to finish the manager schedule before I can do mine. I went in on Tuesday and I saw it wasn't posted yet, so I asked her (even though I knew it wasn't done) if it was done yet. She said, "No, I'll do it tonight." I'm like, "Oh." She said that I didn't have to post it until Thursday anyway. Well, tell me, am I doing my math right? If she doesn't do her schedule until Tuesday, I don't get it until Wednesday. So when do I have to do the schedule? Obviously, I am stuck doing it Wednesday night, right? Yep, I thought so:( I was not happy! She's only got to do the schedule for 5 people while I do one for 17. Nice, right? Of course, to top that, I was scheduled 11-6 on Wednesday & the OER guy from corporate showed up between 4 & 4:30, so I didn't get out of work until almost 7:( Then, I was scheduled to work 5 a.m. til 3 p.m. today. I know, I'm such a whiney baby, right? I just get so frustrated sometimes, you know?

I would love to find another job, but it's so hard to find anything right now. If something becomes available, there are tons of people applying for the position. Well, I've been at BK for almost 6 years - longer than anyone else in the store including the store manager who's been there for 4. Anyway, I'm done with my belly-aching for now:)

So, today. Wanda took the kids to Great-Grandma Mary's house where Wanda, Sallie, & Grandma have been working on Lexie's dress for Jeff & Rachel's wedding on the 19th of this month. It's almost done:) I think they figure it will be done this weekend:) I can't wait to see it. I don't know if I told you, but we decided a couple of weeks ago to let Lexie's hair grow out. Jason wants it long, but Lexie & I were a little hesitant. She doesn't like to brush her hair, you know:) And I open quite often, so that leaves daddy to do her hair before school - yeah, scary thought, right? Anyway, I had to cut it tonight:( The wedding is too close now & her hair will be in one of those "can't do anything with it while it's growing out" styles. So now it will be cure, but it will be short. Oh, well. It really does look cute on her, but I am willing to try this growing-out thing. We'll see if I have enough patience to let it go:) It's really thick, though, so I will have to layer it or she will have a bush going on - cute, right?

On the way home today, I stopped and picked up a few things for the kids' lunch - yeah, they go back to school next week:( &:) I will really miss them on my days off & I don't look forward to dealing with my schedule during the school year. Hopefully, something will come along that's more flexible:) Please, please, please:)

Well, I don't think there's anything to say about Brett today. He is content, as always:) Oh, Lexie helped me give Kaylie a bath tonight. Yeah, help, right?!? Anyway... If I didn't already tell you, Kaylie has a bladder infection. She's on some antibiotics now & she seems to be getting better:) Poor thing!

Lexie is baby-sitting Kylee & Taylor's new bunnies that they got from the fair - Mocha & Espresso. She's very excited:) They went to Crandon for the Off-road races this weekend. We chose not to go - no $, you know:( Oh, well, maybe next year. Lexie helps grandma in the garden everyday & she helps grandpa with his chickens:) Brett got in trouble for chasing them. Wanda hopes that one turns around and sticks it's wings out at him - it would scare the crap out of him & he would leave them alone;)

Oh, last week, she went to camp with grandpa, I think it was Wednesday, & Uncle Jimmy. Well, Uncle Jimmy let her drive his 4-wheeler all by herself - he told her to go a little way & turn around. Well, this is a big machine for the woods & she's never driven one before, so she couldn't turn it! He didn't even follow her! GRRRRR! She had to go all the way around (Jay said about 1 mile or so) to get back to Jason's blind. She said Toby, grandma & grandpa's minn-pinn, led the way & she followed him back. She knows the area very well, so she probably would have found her own way back, but still, she's 8! When she didn't come back right away, Uncle Jimmy ran after her, but she got back to grandpa before he caught up with her. Grandpa yelled at Uncle Jimmy, then grandma did, too, back at her house (She stayed home with Brett & Taylor). I asked Lexie if she was speeding & she told me "No, I only went 3 or 4 mph." What a funny girl. I would have been sooooo mad if something had happened to her. Obviously, she's smarter than her uncle (he's 40 something, by the way).

That's all I have for now. Oh, Shannah, Brett & Lexie thought it was funny that L'il D threw that toy at my head today:) Stinker:) Love you!
Good day so far-sweet 2 b done with oer:) what 4 dinner? Hmm...idk - will have 2 think.

What a day:) Work was super busy. I dropped the kids off at Grandma Wanda's this morning around 10:30 & headed to work. It was pretty busy today & Tina was a little nuts because our OER guy, Steve, is up in the UP. Ok, well, I'd say we're pretty good & I'm not too worried. Last time he came during breakfast, so we knew we'd get an afternoon or night visit this time. Well, guess what? He showed up today around 4 p.m! Great - I am the only manager on & manager in charge:) Yippee! Anyway, I had to hurry up & call Tina(our store manager) & email Jen(our district manager) to let them know he was there. We did very well - we scored 94 or 95. I left before he was done with the paper, but we did very well:) Now we can relax a little:) & so can Tina, which helps us relax:) By the way, those of you who don't know what an OER is: Operations Excellence Review. This is someone from the corporation who comes to see if we are following procedures & if any critical food hazards or anything that may be potentially dangerous for customers. We lost points for our daily planner not being filled out one night for late night temps of food & equipment, sink drain was leaking, etc. Nothing too bad, so it is certainly safe to eat at BK in Esky:) Just wanted to let everyone know:)LOL!

What a relief to have it done:) My treat for myself is getting a Heath concrete mixer from Culver's for my dinner tonight:) I know it's not healthy, but Jason & the kids ate at his mom's since I wasn't going to be home until late. Poor Brett is washing dishes again. I think I will have to get him a treat tomorrow. He's such a good boy:) I think Lexie will get one, too. She's been super good lately! Not like herself at all:)LOL!

Well, I gotta go - Lexie wants some chili & she's having a hard time with it. Plus, I have a schedule to finish tonight. Wonderful:) I really don't mind doing it, but I do mind not getting the manager schedule until this afternoon so I have to finish it tonight and get it posted for tomorrow:)

Later, y'all!

Just catching up:)

Hey, all! It's been awhile. Anyway, my good pals, Mallory Casell & Jim Wagner tied the knot this past Saturday:) It was a beautiful wedding:) I wish them the best of luck! I took Lexie with me & we picked Auntie Shannah up on the way:) Lexie really liked Jim & Mal's little girl, Maddie (she's 4 1/2). I was pretty tired, so we didn't stay very long:( It was nice to see everyone again, though! I met Mal & Jim when I started at Bk so many years ago. They weren't even dating then!

Sunday, I had to open. Saturday, Tina had to work from 7 a.m. until close (she did get to go home for a little bit). Mike was supposed to close, but he fell off his roof and hurt his back. Poor Mike. Anyway, we weren't sure if he would be in Sunday or not, but he was. He didn't come in on Monday, though, so Shawna came in to close (on her vacation). Hectic, hectic. I had told Tina that I could close Sunday, but I needed to go home to sleep for a couple hours first. Well, Mike made it, so I got to stay home. Jason took the kids to camp on Sunday. Brett was even excited to go - that's not normal with him. He doesn't ever want to go anywhere!

So Monday, I worked until 6, so Jason picked the kids up & we made tacos for dinner, then went back to his mom's for our traditional Monday night get-together. His cousin, Tyler, and his girlfriend, Ashley, came over, too. They are so funny:) Ashley was chasing the chickens. Then Kevin, Jason's brother, brought one into the house & she was scared to touch it because it would bite her finger off! LOL! She's so funny:)

They are supposed to be finished with Lexie's dress the end of the week, I guess. Wanda picked Lexie up tonight to town to get some new shoes. The girls are wearing silver shoes, so they found some for Lexie. Of course, grandma got Lexie another pair of shoes that caught her eye:) They are tan kinds like slipper-looking shoes with, naturally, peace signs on them:) She sure does love peace signs:)

Wanda took Kaylie to the vet yesterday - she has a bladder infection! I never knew dogs could get them! Well, she does, poor thing! Jason got her a shocking collar, so she stays in the yard now. Poor baby!

Oh, crap! I was gonna trim Lexie's hair tonight & I forgot:( I will have to do that tomorrow. One more thing to add to my list:( Her fingernails need a trim, too. They look pretty bad right now - she polished them the other night:)

The kids are very excited to go back to school! They can't wait until they find out who their teachers are or which of their friends will be in their class. Lexie has the whole first week of clothing picked out already:)

Well, Brett & I were home alone tonight. He enjoyed washing the dishes & watching a little Duck Tales:) He loves that show. We have it on DVD.

Anyway, it's late & I have to hit the sack:) Have a great day!
